The most expensive mistakes
don't come from bad answers.
They come from the wrong question.

"We gave it six months. Great team, real effort. Turned out we were answering the wrong question the whole time. Nobody caught it."

There's a particular kind of mistake that derails more projects and burns more money than almost anything else, and it frustrates a lot of smart people along the way. We call them category errors, and the industry barely talks about them.

A category error happens when two things that don't belong together get treated as the same thing: the symptom mistaken for the cause, the tool mistaken for the strategy, the activity measured in place of the result. None of it comes from laziness. The effort is usually real. But when the problem is framed the wrong way, everything built on top of it suffers.

What makes them dangerous is that they stay invisible until you know how to look. They hide inside confident language, survive committee reviews, and get funded, staffed, and shipped. Then they fail in ways that feel mysterious. They aren't, really. They're diagnosable, and ReFrameX© is the method that finds them.

Five signs you're dealing with a category error right now
  • "We need better alignment." Alignment is a result, not a task. You can't "do" alignment. What you can do is agree on a shared definition of done, which is the real problem.
  • "Let's add AI to this." AI is a layer of your architecture, not a component you slot in. Treating it as a quick fix is how AI projects fail.
  • "The team isn't communicating." Communication breakdown is almost always a symptom. The structural problem underneath it is what's actually broken.
  • "Just hit the target." Targets and metrics measure the goal. They aren't the goal. Hitting the number without achieving the outcome is one of the most common and most expensive category errors in business.
  • "We need a new system." The tool is never the problem. The process and incentives underneath it are. New tools on broken processes just create faster broken processes.

Do I need any prior knowledge or training?
No. If you've ever worked on a complex problem, in any role, you have everything you need. The method is taught from scratch.
What problem should I bring?
Something real that you're currently stuck on. Messy is better. The messier and more stuck you are, the more the reframe will do for you. One sentence is enough to start.
What is the ReFrameX© AI tool?
It's the AI-powered companion to the method, built to run the five-pattern process on any problem you give it. You get access on the day of the seminar, plus a 6-month subscription included with registration.
What are the public discourse case studies?

Will this run again after Summer 2026?
